Bloating Relief: The Best Pills & Potions

Posted 3 years ago by Jo

Bloating is an increasingly common and frustrating problem for many, and it can be tricky to find an easy and effective solution. I have tracked down a selection of ‘Pills and Potions’ that have been chosen for their natural ability to help relieve the symptoms of bloating. I hope you find them helpful.

OptiBac Probiotics

I find OptiBac Probiotics One week flat a particularly effective solution to bloating. It is a product containing a blend of probiotics and prebiotic fibres designed specifically to target bloating by supporting digestion and aiding transit. Although not technically a ‘pill’, For a flat stomach is actually a sachet which some people may prefer. It is very easy to take, mix with water, stir and drink. If you do prefer to take a capsule however, OptiBac For every day EXTRA Strength can also be quite effective in the battle against the bloat. It contains 20 billion live microorganisms per capsule, and is a premium probiotic designed to help support digestion. To read more about probiotics and bloating, click here

Pukka Seven Seeds

Pukka Seven Seeds is a powerful blend of seven organic seeds including fennel, celery, fenugreek and black pepper seed. The blend also contains ginger, to help stimulate digestion, and the unusually named asafoetida which is a pungent spice and member of the fennel family, renowned for its carminative properties. The Seven Seeds blend has been created to help support the digestive system, based on traditional Ayuervedic principles. It also helps to improve the assimilation of nutrients from food and can be effective in reducing bloating.

Aloe Vera Juice

This natural ‘potion’, in the form of pure Aloe Vera Juice, can have a wonderfully calming effect on the digestive system, helping to reduce bloating and digestive discomfort. Constipation is frequently a common factor with bloating, and Aloe Vera, known as a digestive bitter which stimulates the release of bile, can also be helpful in maintaining regularity. When choosing Aloe Vera Juice, opt for organic where possible and source a product that is made from pure juice/gel rather than reconstituted from a powder. Look for a product that has been gently pasteurised that does not contain any added preservatives.

Floradix Intestcare

Again, more of a ‘potion’ than a ‘pill’ (in fact it is known as an elixir), Floradix Intestcare is a pleasant tasting blend of turmeric, artichoke, apple-plum extract and magnesium to support digestion. Turmeric contains a compound called curcumin which helps to maintain a healthy gut, apple-plum extract is a soluble fibre that helps stimulate digestion and magnesium can help stimulate the bowel. This clever combination of ingredients are known for their ability to aid and calm the digestive system, again helping to relieve symptoms of bloating and the associated discomfort.

So here are some of the best natural pills & potions for bloating in my opinion… I hope you find them useful, do let us know what you think in the comments. As everyone is different, there may be some products that work better for you than others. There is no reason why you cannot use a combination of these products, so try them out to hopefully relieve your bloating.
